School (and the things we all did)

I am so sorry for how long it's been since I last posted, I wanna say I've been a bit busy and it wouldn't strictly be a lie buuut it hasn't exactly stopped me from posting so it'd be a bad excuse! Anyway for this post, I'm going to be going down memory lane once more and delving into things we all did in secondary school!

    1. Walking into school one morning and your mate reminds you about that piece of homework you had to do and having a mad rush to either get the work done or think of a good excuse. An alternative to this was definitely spending the lesson praying the teacher and the teacher's pet also forgot about the work!

    1.  Getting home from school and logging into msn as fast as possible.. just to speak to the same people you've seen all day at school, and who can forget the prehistoric facetime that was webcam chat.

    1.  Speaking of msn.. did anyone else put ALL of their friends in their PM in order of their faves and then either demoting people that you're in a mood with to a really crap emoticon or just full on taking them off your name!

    1.  Also... remember the dark age before Facebook and we had Myspace? Yep, before the days of captioning photos with song lyrics or emoji's.. we had 'comment 4 comment' and top 10 friends

    1.  Every time you had a substitute teacher.. it was kind of standard practice to wind them up a bit and just give them general grief for the entire lesson! Chances were, you'd never see them again OR you'd get the over confident bloke who bantered on with the lads a bit too much and didn't really care what anyone else was getting up to.

    1.  Cooking and PE on the same day? NIGHTMARE! Not only did you have to carry your PE-kit as well as your school bag (which was obviously fully equipped with a full pencil case and god knows what else you thought you needed for school) but now you had to carry all of your cooking stuff too which sometimes included massive casserole dishes as well as ingredients. This is even worse when you don't have lockers to dump your things in till the specific lesson.

    1.  Also.. was it just my food tech teacher that would bring the entire class round the table to talk about what we've done, just before it was time to take our things out of the oven? I swear, I was nearly always 20 seconds away from having black scones!

    1. It can't have just been our PE teachers either that had ZERO sympathy for us. Cold day? 'get out there, it's not even cold'. Hardly able to breath when on your 2/3 laps of the massive running track? 'If you don't go any faster Hayley, I'll make you do an extra lap'. Someone hits you in the foot full force with a hockey ball? 'you should've worn more appropriate shoes, rather than plimsolls', They had zero empathy, letting us freeze while they've got a massive hoody on or a rain coat.

    1.  When there was always a rumour going about that 2 of your teachers were seeing each other. Turns out, ours actually were, They got married a couple of years ago!

    1. Being asked to hand out the text books and giving the people you liked least the scabbiest one. Not only that, and I don't know if it was just in our school, but writing or following people instructions in the textbooks e.g. 'go to page 184' and following it to end up on a page that said something so daft like 'If you read this, you suck' or other, less pleasant, variations.

    1. Your mum buying you a uniform a size or two too big so it'll last longer. Fortunately, we changed to the fetching blazers in my photos in like year 10 and I wasn't doing much growing so mum actually got me the right size!

    1. Finishing  an exam and discussing answers with your friend only to realise that one of you got it spectacularly wrong cause she got 82 and you got 28... This was such a regular occurrence for me, absolute nightmare!

    1. Highlighting anything and everything when the teacher said 'highlight the key bits' because in your head, the colour of William the conqueror's top was a key factor in the beginning of the battle of Hastings.. Obviously…

    1. Trying to catch your friends eye during an exam, not to cheat.. No of course not, it was to pull funny faces at them!

    1. All running to the designated fight place as soon as you heard there was gonna be one! Ours was a 'swirly' (not anymore) hill down the road from school, just far enough that people thought the teachers wouldn't get involved.. They always did though, as soon as there was a whiff of the entire school running to swirly hill!

    1. Now a lesson with a supply teacher was NEVER complete without winding them up something rotten! There was one teacher who was a regular supply at our school and he had my class for English, I spent the best part of the lesson arguing with him that he was attempting to teach us the wrong thing.. I wasn’t even lying, he was trying to teach us something we learned in year 8 so it was for the year 8 class he'd have that day.. Definitely not us! He was so used to the winding up that he didn't believe me until he actually checked the lesson plan our teacher had left for him!

    1. When your teacher sends to go and get something from another class or part of the school so you just walk as slowly as possible and do anything to stay out of the class for as long as possible! What was better was when you got to go into your friends class and speak to them while you're 'on a  message'

    1. Did anyone elses PE teacher whinge on about everything? Spraying deodorant, drinking lucozade, eating generally unhealthy foods… cause mine did so often!

    1. Using any slight injury to go to the medical room and get out of lessons! Now this is something I did so often, once I got kicked in the knee by a boy in english class and I properly played on it, asked my teacher if one of my friends could take me to the medical room and limped the entire way there in case any teachers saw!

    1. Lastly, I know for a fact that this wasn't just me and my friends or my school - Using music and art lessons as a general fuck-about. Art was more so for me because I did it longer than I di music but they were literally an hour of doing the bare minimum work and just messing on! We used to dance about in the art cupboard while pretending we needed supplies or sitting in the other part of the art room where our teacher rarely went pretending we were using the projector or something.. Little tinkers we were!

So that has been school and the things we all did.. Perhaps not everyone but I know plenty of people did do these things and of course we found ourselves hilarious, thought we were mint the lot, what a scream! Let me know if there's things on here that you didn’t do or maybe there are things you did that aren't on the list, I wanna know!!

Random thoughts #laziness

Good (insert time of day while reading this) to you, obviously my title has been quite misleading  thinking you would now be reading an interesting, perhaps even funny post and you will not be reading such a thing. You are now however committed to reading it and I am trusting you to carry on reading past this point so no clicking off now!

Every now and then I will have the odd silent moment to myself where I have the chance to think about really random things/situations so I am now going to fill this post with as many random things that I can think of that I have thought to myself about.

* What would it be like to be the pope? It's common knowledge with the people that know me, I would love to be the pope.. I literally don't fully know why, all I know is that of all the people/roles in the world I would love to be the pope. I genuinely think it would be great to drive about in the pope mobile for the day!

* it's so weird that when things get sent to the queen for her royal ascent, she never says no because if so many people want it (enough for the paper to be sent to her) then who is she to deny it. My law teacher even says she wouldn't even say no if it was to get rid of the monarchy - I would personally say no if I was the queen but each to their own.

*Speaking of the queen, what does she think about, what does she really love doing, does she enjoy reading, does she knit? I bet she loves a good crossword or a sudoku. Also, has she ever changed any of the royal babies nappies or even anything of the sort.

*Who decided words are words and that they mean the things they mean. Like who decided to call the thing we sit on a chair, its mad!

*What do dogs actually think about? They have such chilled lives - what would my little cass say if she could speak to me? (Probably "get me a treat now")

*You know when someone is talking to you and they say 'is that OK?' what would they then do if you turned around and said 'well actually, no it's not OK' like honestly what would they do?

*What goes through peoples heads when they're so unnecessarily rude to other people? Don't get me wrong my skin is pretty thick, I can 100% take it from people but there's plenty of people that can't. Just an example is the other week I was at work and someone rang up and asked a question I physically couldn't answer, nor could anyone in the office (had they given me the chance to fully explain our process he may not have been so rude) but he ended the call by saying 'that's great that you cant answer my questions, thanks, bye.' there's just no need in it at all

*where do people that come up with horror stories get their imagination from, what actually possess' people to write such grim films.

It's been ages since I actually wrote something and for that I'm sorry, I just can never think of anything I want to write at all. It's so annoying, if you have any ideas or can think of anything that would be good, please let me know in the comments!

Short girl problems - from my point of view!

As a member of the vertically challenged community I am prone to many a problem. Some people might get offended when they get asked their age when they buy a 12 rated film but not me, I have developed a great sense of humour about the whole thing so what better to do than compile a list of all the problems that I come across on a regular basis because of my height!

  1. If I want something from the top shelf in the cupboard or a pan down from the shelf on the wall, you can bet that I'm climbing on something to get them. Trust me my calf muscles are great because of it!
  2. I am automatically an arm rest for anyone that decides to utilise that. When I was an altar girl at church I even became a bible rest for the vicar - love ya father haz!
  3. I constantly walk into the door handle with the top of my arm and it literally feels like I've been shot every time!
  4. When it rains (good old british weather), I always have to move my umbrella to a side when I walk past others, just so that I don't take someones eye out with it.
  5. I'm forever being asked to prove my age, not just when I'm buying alcohol either, I've been asked for my ID for buying energy drinks, 12 rated DVDs, 15 rated films at the cinema, you name it, if it has an age restriction I've been asked for it!
  6. When I get a photo with one of my friends, they have to bend down so we can both be in it, or the person taking it needs to be really far away!
  7. Unless I am in the 4 foot part of the pool, I'll be getting the best exercise ever because I'm doing my best to keep afloat
  8. Unless they're 3/4 length, my jeans/leggings and such will be rolled up, there is no chance that I'll wear them at there normal length because I think it makes me look even shorter than I am.
  9. On the topic of clothes, a lot of clothes for someone my body shape aren't always tailored to my body length (unless in the petite section of course) and this means that I end up with cloves that look way too long on me!
  10. Mirrors for people of average height are always a problem for me too, I have to tiptoe just to see more than my forehead, it's like am I a vampire cause I have no reflection? Nah Im just 4'11.
  11. On the same kind of wavelength, the counters at the pizza shop are ridiculous too, I can only just about see to order my kids pizza special!
  12. I always get the most shocked look in the world when I tell adults my age, followed by them asking my mum 'is she really? I thought she was 14!' legit every time!
  13. More than once, I've been asked whether I was stood up or not, mostly in the science lab though!
  14. I can very rarely crop a photo of me and someone else well because the height difference is too much, it is ridiculous:')
  15. Saving the worst problem for last, I haaaate taller people in crowds, or anywhere in front of me when I want to see! It just as bad at the cinema too, I swear im one more giraffe away from pouring drinks on the seats in front of me so no one can sit there!!!
I know I sound really whingy but there are just as many perks to being short as there are cons! For one you use a lot less fake tan when you need to tan your full body, you can sneak up on people miles easier, leg room is rarely an issue,on any vehicle, you can buy shoes from the junior section, I actually love being short, no lie!

Don't worry.. Be Happy

I worry - A LOT and I wish I didn't and it probably wont even change but maybe having a written down example as to why I shouldn't worry will give me a sort of tangible reminder that it (the worrying thing) can be fine!

So last Wednesday I had a job interview and it was extremely important to me because it's a job I really want. After applying I had to wait over 3 weeks for a reply and as it was my second time applying for the role (different recruiting schemes) I wasn't optimistic at all but I was overjoyed when I saw I had an interview.
I decided (even though this was in November) that I wanted to be interviewed in January as it'd give me time to acclimatise and be prepared. It did work, I felt fully confident I knew what to do in the interview. On Wednesday I was going shopping with Hollie (I've mentioned her before) and we made it back a little late. I didn't panic too much because it wasn't too far away, I then looked at my confirmation email to check what I needed to take and found that I was supposed to attend 30 minutes before the interview.. queue a major panic!
I met Holl at the bus stop and cried my eyes out, I was so scared that I wouldn't be interviewed because of how late I was.. by the time I got there I was about an hour late including the turning up half an hour early. To calm me down Holl decided we'd be best off walking to another bus stop that was further away and all the while she was saying so much encouraging things ('you'll be fine, loads of people turn up late', 'they're not gonna say you can't be interviewed.. they'll probably be happier you came at all rather than leaving it') but in my head it just wasn't working, I wasn't able to calm down until I got there!
When I eventually made it there wasn't a single thing to worry about, the security guard confirmed everything holl was saying, apparently everyone had turned up late! The interview turned out to be the best interview I could've had, one of the interviewers was a slightly older version of me, the other interviewer was dumbstruck because of it!

The whole point of that story is that if I hadn't gone, if I didn't have my bestfriend calming me down I would have worried myself to a point of going home and regretting it for the rest of my life! Im certainly a 'when the going gets tough - the tough get going' kind of girl and I think I may always be and I don't know why.. I just really need to change it because one day I wont have people that will calm me down and I will just end up quitting and leaving it.

The moral of this post is: You'll never know unless you try.. don't just leave something without even giving it a go because you could end up seriously regretting it!

The other moral is: when your bestfriend tells you it'll be fine.. listen cause shes probably right!P.S. if your reading this holl, thank you so much, I honestly don't think I'd have gone if it hadn't been for you re-assuring me and convincing me it'd be fine, I cannot thank you enough, Love you!

So yeah, this was just to show that if you just try you never know what  could happen, I am for sure glad I tried and im sure you all will be!

Who ya gonna call? THE MYTHBUSTER - Misconceptions, cleared up!

So I recently was bored and started researching things on the internet and came across an article on misconceptions and me being as inquisitive as always I decided to do some more research and see what I could find out and believe me there is a lot that I thought was true but turned out to be a lie so here are the ones I liked the most!

  • In old english language, 'ye' was not a word that meant 'the' The confusion comes from a mix-up in symbols!
  • Bulls are colour blind, this means they don't get mad when they see the colour red, they actually get mad at the matador waving the cape at them!
  • those pesky houseflies don't actually only live for 24 hours, the average lifespan of a housefly is 20 to 30 days so we're stuck with them longer than you think!
  • We didn't actually walk with dinosaurs, dinosaurs actually died 63 million years before the first humans existed
  • There were actually no witches burnt at the stake in Salem, 15 people died in prison, 19 were hung and 1 was pressed to death.. whatever that means
  •  Theres no actual evidence that vikings wore horns on their helmets, that just came from an artists interpretation of them!
  • there is no point in the circulatory system where the blood is blue, haemoglobin in the blood keeps it red!
  • Napoleon wasn't that short, he was actually 5'6 and back in the day and for a frenchman, that was quite tall!
  • Alcohol doesn't make you warm, all it does is dilate the blood vessels and stimulates the nerve endings with a warm flush of blood which can actually make your blood colder!
  • There aren't just 5 senses - as well as touch, sight, sound, smell and taste we have things like balance, pain, acceleration, itching, pressure, hunger, thirst, fullness of the stomach, our carbon dioxide levels (if you hold your breath, your heart beats faster) and the need to drop the kids off at the pool, just to name a few
  • there is no evidence that jesus was actually born on the 25th of december, there are actually dates all over the calender when he could've been born, the reason we celebrate it on the 25th is because of the pagans!
  • cracking your knuckles doesn't cause arthritis (told you mum!)
  • chewing gum thats been swallowed doesnt actually take 7 years to digest, it actually takes the normal amount of time to pass through however stomach acid cannot digest the gum!
I hope you learned something new that you didn't already know, I definitely learned somethings and I believed a lot of those things previously. I can't believe that I've been writing my blog for 11 weeks now, as short a time that is, I usually get bored really easy and give up but I haven't and there are no signs of that happening either!

Things life has taught me!

At the grand old age of 18 and a quarter I feel I have definitely learnt a lot about life so guess what here I am telling you all just what I have learnt, because that's what I do now, I tell strangers that I don't know a thing about.. massive details about my life!

  1. If you want something enough you can have it but not without working for it!
  2. Underage drinking is both good and bad.. as I've said before, I've drank alcohol since I was like 15 and it was good because I have now developed an understanding/better tolerance to the alcohol, like on my first night out I was able to drink a lot and still not be extremely drunk! The bad thing is that now after about 3 years, drinking is a bit boring, I think cause now I can legally drink and before I couldn't and there was more excitement but yeah, it does wear old!
  3. when you fall out with friends, it's not always the end of the world, if you're in the wrong you should still do everything you can to fix it and apologise and whatnot but if your not in the wrong or if after you try everything they still don't want to know you or make up you should just let it go and leave them to it because 9/10 if you truly tried everything you could, they'll come back and if not its cool!
  4. Crushes never last, they come quick and often but they end as quick as they came, it might not feel like it but they do, this is a fact proven by many!
  5. among the problems a young person can come across, there's always someone worse, so you should be grateful unless you are the someone that has it worse then we all feel for you!
  6. problems aren't problems for long they manage to be fixed after a while
  7. When you do something it has to be for you - you can't do something because your friends are or you're parents want you to, if you do or don't want to do something it's your choice no one else's!
  8. Not too long ago I learnt how important it is to own up to things straight away and people might think ah well that's something you should do anyway, in certain situations it isn't always that easy but I've realised that even in a hard situation where you might not feel like you can own up trust me if you don't it's 100% worse than what it could've been!
  9. At some point its best to let things go.. maybe not straight after because the person its being let go on may think what they did was acceptable and they are free to do it again but obviously their not.. I just mean don't hold on to it too long because then its only you getting hurt!
  10. Rome was definitely not built in a day.. if you really want something (just like in lesson 1) you will not get it without work and sometimes that might only take a day but not all the time, it will sometime take weeks.. just let life take it's course and it shall happen!
  11. Don't do things half arsed.. if you only put half of your effort into it it's probably going to be poo and you might have to do it all over again so why not do it right the first time?
  12. Don't throw ice over club balconies
  13. don't wear play suits to town
  14. don't drink too much before a night out because you'll end up ruining your best friends night by being sick and having to go home!

I can't think of any more so I'm going to leave it there but if I think of any more I shall make a part 2 because I am always learning lessons as I make many a mistake! I shall see you all next week with another post if you have something you want to see from me like advice on a certain topic or a q&a or just anything at all just leave it in the comments because I'm always looking for suggestions :) and I will see you next week!

19 before 19 - A Years Bucket List

So Since I've not been 18 for too long I thought there is still a fair bit of time to do things before I turn 19 so here is a list of 19 things I will attempt to have done by august the 7th next year!

In no particular order here we go -
  1. Start Driving Lessons - I have been able to start my lessons for a long time but I haven't had the motivation/desire to start them and Im getting to a point where I do want to drive but I just haven't fancied it enough so yeah
  2. Go somewhere new - This is quite vague but I just mean visit somewhere new and interesting and fun that I've never been before
  3. Attend a Quiz night - The local pub hosts many a quiz night (or so I think) but I just haven't been to one just yet and I really want to cause I do love a good quiz
  4. Reach my goal body shape - I really want to like tone up and be in shape so I just want to be able to be confident in things like cropped tops and if ever I was to go swimming I don't want to constantly be in like control swim suits etc
  5. get a job - I mean this needs no explanation and I certainly hope to have a job before I turn 19 because I just need a job!!
  6. find a good concealer - This is so random to want to do before im 19 but I just want to find a concealer that works and is really good so if you know of one, help a girl out here!
  7. learn to speak a new language - I already know a little french because I did it in school but I want to be able to like string sentences together and have like a full on conversation!
  8. finish watching the us office - I became obsessed with the office and got to the 4th or 5th series but I haven't got round to finishing it but I want to because its wonderful and I always see gifs and Im like aaah spoilers:(
  9. try a starbucks - #uncommonwhitegirl... I just haven't tried starbucks yet but I want to see what the fuss is over
  10. Go to a new theme park - I'm not exactly the biggest of thrill seekers and I've been to like 3 theme parks but I want to go to a new one haha
  11. go to nandos - same with starbucks, I just want to see the hype
  12. meet my biological dad - I could write a lot about this but I wont, basically its not because I need a dad (I have my wonderful stepdad who brought me up) I just want to know about him like where he was in his life when I was born and why he hasn't kept in touch, this is already deeper than necessary so yeah...
  13. become more confident - I have confidence but there are certain areas in life that I can't be confident like meeting new people (particularly the opposite gender) like I'll stop myself talking to people because I worry what people think about me and whether I can be what people want or expect or even imagine that I am, ugh c'est tres merde
  14. get my nose pierced - I really want my nose pierced and I don't even know why, if I get a job I probably wont be allowed it in but I just want it done
  15. get a tattoo - I want the deathly hallows sign somewhere on my body and I don't know where yet but I want it alot!
  16. Go for a picnic somewhere - I haven't actually been for a picnic in a long time and whether it's just with my friends or whatever, I just really want to go on one because it'll be fun and I like food (may need to remind myself of number 4 though)
  17. Buy a plant that can live in my room - just something little like a bonsai tree or a mimosa pudica, they just seem so cool!
  18. Grow sea monkeys and keep them alive for longer - My friend got me some sea monkeys for my 16th birthday and everything was going wonderful but I over fed them and they ended up all dying which was v sad:(
  19. cook a meal from scratch - like fully from scratch not even sauce jars or packets, nothing!
So this has been my 19 before 19 I hope you've enjoyed it and I hope that by reading this you've gained something, not sure what anyone could possibly gain but hey ho, have a nice week and I shall see you all again next monday!

A - Z of me - 26 questions about me

Oh hey there.. is it that time of the week again? Well you'd best grab a drink and maybe a snack because this is the A - Z of me and we could be here a while!
A: If you were an ANIMAL, what would you be?
I would probably be a parrot (in the wild) because they can talk, maybe not wild ones though cause they wont encounter enough humans to learn words BUT they can fly around all the time and see beautiful sights and they apparently have the longest lifespan
B: BOOKS: What’s on your reading list?
at the moment I'm reading need by carrie jones which is to get me into the Halloween spirit because it's quite supernatural and is fitting to the time of year, I'm also in the process of reading mokee joe by peter j murray which again has a spooky theme to it but it's not that bad cause it's made for a young audience I've actually had it since I was about 7 or 8, I'll add the book cover and let you decide for yourself but I would be terrified if the monster from it came near me!
C: COMPULSIVE about anything?
A few things actually, I keep my highlighters in 'rainbow' order, my books are in genre order, my dvds are in genre and company order for example if there are two chick flicks made by universal - they will be together, also I can't stop clicking/cracking my knuckles
D: DREAMS – Do you…dream in colour? Remember your dreams? Keep a dream journal?
I do tend to dream in colour, well the ones I remember are in colour, I actually have quite realistic dreams, like I'll have dreams including people I know and they'll say things the person would say so some are actually quite memorable but I can never remember enough to write a dream journal, I wish I could though!
E: EATING – what’s your usual snack?
So I really don't eat very healthily, I wish I could but I just cant bring myself to so I mainly reach for a packet of crisps but I don't snack a lot through the day, I'll have a packet of crisps and maybe a chocolate bar at the most.
F: A few of your FAVOURITE Things
Nutty chocolate, tomato soup, my dog, tv, books, my family, my amazing friends, clicking my knuckles, rugby players of the welsh kind, copious amounts of alcohol
G: GIGGLES! What (or who) makes you laugh? Do you have a good sense of humor?
Puns make me laugh a lot, most comedy shows, most comedy films, myself, my best friend, lee evans(comedian), nick grimshaw(radio personality), russell howard(comedian) I mean, theres a lot more.. Im a cheap laugh, I find a lot of things funny
H: Major HOT Button:
Ignorance, people that don't accept change when it's clearly for the better, dying on flappy bird (yes I still play it), when people are only open to one way of thinking like they have one opinion and anything else that doesn't go with that opinion is wrong, when people want help and when you try to help they complain that everything your doing to help is wrong
I: I am…
Short. Funny(well I think so). friendly. forgiving. uninteresting. out of things I am
K: Also KNOWN As… Aliases? Screen names? A non de plume perhaps?
I wouldn't say I was known as anything, I use my own name for screen names, I don't have a pseudonym or anything like that.. Just Hayley, or hayl
L: I LOVE…
My Family and friends, good food, alcohol, reading, made in chelsea, my dog,
M: How do you feel about MEETING people? Do it all the time? Rarely? Parties or 1-on-1?
Im shy sometimes but I do love meeting new people, I like learning about people and stuff like that.
N: What’s the story of your NAME? Were you named after anyone? Do you go by a nickname? Any aliases?
My mum didn't know what she wanted to call me at all and then it came to me being born and she still didn't know so my brother decided I should be named after his friend who was obviously called Hayley, so yeah.. my middle name Louisa is from my grandma frances who died before I was born so I never got to meet her but I've heard great things
O: OBSERVANT – What’s around you right now? What do you see?
My laptop is right in front of me, my dog is laid on the floor next to my door, the tv is on and glue is about to start, I can see 3 bottles of water on my dressing table.. there are a lot of things in my room tbh
P: Who are the special PEOPLE in your life?
Well my parents I guess are the most important, my nannie is really important too I love her to pieces even if I haven't seen her in a while, I also love my brother cause he's great, obviously my friends are really important to me too because idk, when aren't friends important?
Q: Any little QUIRKS about yourself?
I am a compulsive knuckle clicker, I call 'coke' cola, I try on outfits and makeup constantly when I'm planning to go out or for a party, I talk too much and Im also a huge panicker like I unnecessarily worry if someone doesn't reply to a message on facebook or anything else, I have a specific way of eating and I don't know if its just me (let me know if you do the same) but when I'm eating a meal lets say a sunday dinner, I would eat the veg then the mash, then the chicken - like I do that with any meal!
R: What do you like to do for RECREATION?
I read, spend time with my friends, watch films, binge watch tv shows, blog, go to the gym
S: Do You SING in the Shower? In the car? For your friends?
I sing all the time, whether I'm any good is debatable but I definitely sing a lot, I aaaalways sing in the shower and bath because I don't like the silence.
T: What’s at the top of your TO DO list?
I'm not quite sure, I have no massive aspirations at the moment - I guess the usual things like travelling - do well idk
U: Any UNUSUAL experiences?
The only few that come to mind are from nights out in the town - the first one was when me and my friend jasmine were in a club just dancing and having a good time and there were two boys, not remotely attractive (not that I cared I was just uninterested in them) and they were dancing near us and they kept looking at us so I smiled just being nice and polite as you do and the tallest boy says "you's can give us the V whenever you's want" middlesborough town really is wonderful. The second one was on another night out we were in the second bar we usually go to on a night and we were quite drunk and I was dancing stood at my chair and I knocked my full jug of cocktail over and soaked myself, I went to the toilet to dry off and when I got back there was ice everywhere so I threw it at one friend who threw it back so I then threw it at another and carried on and when there was no where else to throw it I threw it off the balcony, just to see if it would hit anyone, me and hollie (you know who she is) carried on throwing ice and then hollie threw a ring and I don't know why, two minutes later, a bouncer was stood next to me telling me he saw what I was doing and I should stop because it was dangerous and I'll have to leave if I do it again.
V: VEGAS, Vienna, Venice, Vladivostok… How far have you travelled? What’s your favourite city?
I haven't travelled that much to be honest I've only stayed in the UK, I think the furthest I've been is Stone which is 169 miles away from where I live. My favourite place to go is probably Scarborough where I was born, it's just full of history, for the country and myself.
W: WINTER, Spring, Summer, Fall… What’s your favourite season? What makes it special?
Erm, I like summer the most because it's brighter and everyone's happier and people have bbq's and parties and its my birthday in the summer and its just great. I like winter too though because I like christmas and watching christmas films and snow and seeing people in the festive spirit
X: EXes…
I don't have many but they've never really bothered me, I'm still 'friends' with one
Y: Any secret/deep YEARNINGS?
I would really like to get a job that pays well and I can be comfortable best thing would be to be able to work from home, I don't know what doing though - not a secret though. There are some secret ones but I mean, they're a secret for a reason..
Z: ZERO to ZENITH – Where are you in your life? Still growing? On an upward (or downward) curve? Just skating along?
I mean, I guess I'm growing still, because im only young but I would also like to think im on an upward curve cause Im pretty happy with how my life is and how everything is going.

So this has been the A-Z of me, if your getting to this point in the post and you have an opinion on what I said or what I should write about or even just to say hi or to let me know you're a recurring reader, please comment on the post, just to show people are taking in what I say and are enjoying my posts - I dont even care if you don't like them, tell me that IT ALL HELPS! The teenage school years - Hang in there, you'll be just fine!

So this week I've decided to do another little advicey type blog (a 'how to' if you will) on surviving your teenage years! When you look over your teens, you'll realise that you really were being way too dramatic and it just wasn't as bad as you think!

Year 9 (13-14) - So in year 8 you're going through some huge changes in yourself, you're growing up and your learning tonnes more about yourself. Depending on your school too you might be making some huge decisions and that's not the worst of it, you're "falling in love". Now the reason that's in quotation marks is that I know that at that age, your quite unlikely to stay in a relationship with the people you're seeing, don't get me wrong I know people that are 18 and have been in a six year relationship and if you end up like that you're lucky, extremely lucky, but honestly its not the end of the world if you break up, you'll find someone else and you'll be just fine! If you haven't got a boyfriend/girlfriend yet don't worry it's not a race at all, just keep positive! Now I know it can be quite upsetting if you really really like someone and they don't like you back but again, it isn't the end of the world, don't go changing yourself for that person to like you because it isn't likely that they will, just be yourself and it will all come naturally! If being 13 and hormonal isn't bad enough some schools (mine included) decide to throw you in at the deep end and start you off on your GCSE's exams that pretty much start off your career. The best advice I can give is to not take it for granted, GCSE's aren't easy and you will not pass unless you actually give it a go so revise really hard, be on time to lessons and don't take too much time off, they really are important to your future.

13 Year old hayley... when I was 13 I was doing BTEC Dance and GCSE History, and I liked them so much that I then carried on to do the second year of dance and I continued History onto AS Level. I don't think I did too bad in them either to say I was only 13 and only did the one year of class work before my exams. I also found who I probably thought at the time was the love of my life, truth is I didn't really see him too often and we might as well have not been "in a relationship" it was definitely one of those throwaway teenage relationships I was talking about! I was basically just finding myself I guess, I'm still not too sure I found myself fully to be honest!

year 10 (14 -15) - by year 10 you've pushed through the nasty little hormonal phase (trust me it is a phase) and you've probably found the people who you want in your life forever, I know I did! If your school isn't like mine you will be starting your GCSE's and like I said they aren't easy. Now you've made it through the hormonal stage you're probably in a stage where everyone is a little bit bitchy. You're friendship group probably has more arguments than an episode of the Jeremy kyle show which if you don't know, is a lot! As well as this, the parties people have are getting more grown up, in england its not that strange (in my part anyway) to have started drinking alcohol (not that I advise it in any way) and with alcohol comes many hilarious stories (again not that I advise it) and if you want to have a little drink theres honestly nothing wrong with that, as long as there is someone in charge of making sure everyone else is ok and that no one gets hurt. I can't stress enough that not only is drinking underage illegal, it's not compulsory, there is nothing to say you HAVE to drink at a young age, and if you do please, please drink safely too many teenagers go to hospital for alcohol related issues.

14 year old hayley... At 14 I was getting there, finding what I wanted to do in life and who I wanted to be around me when I did do it. The friends I've mentioned in previous posts are the ones I got close to then, that's 4 years ago and we're still all here, I love the lot of them! Most of my friends I knew before secondary school but weren't too close to and there are two or three that I only really got close to in my teens and I love them I do! There has been a lot of fallings out but we're all here for eachother and I couldn't imagine life without them really! As well as this I was still doing my GCSE's and I picked Art and the second year of dance, as I already mentioned. Art didn't get me anywhere, it was mainly to fill up my time because I didn't want to do anything else so yeah. Now Im not going to lie, I was one of those teenagers that did get drunk but I mostly knew my limits and we were always supervised at parties and such and never had an alcohol related illness/problem, I really can't stress enough that 14 is not an age you should be starting to drink alcohol, it's something you do in your own time

year 11 (15-16) - now this is the last year and your making a lot of decisions, you choose a college, subjects at college and basically what you want to do in the future (in order to pick the right courses). The best advice I can give you is to choose things that will help and that you'll enjoy. You can't pick a college because your friends are going because you'll probably have different timetables anyway, as well as this, you can't pick a course because your friends do it because if you don't enjoy it, your wasting two or more years of your life and you'll not get anywhere in life and that my pals is the harsh reality! As well as all this your getting that all important coursework in and revising for the very last exams and trust me there is no better feeling than putting your pen down after that last exam! The worst bit about this last year is leaving, especially if you've been in the same school for your full school life, just knowing you'll not see most the people in your year properly ever again! As everyone knows, there is an upside to leaving school.. PROM!! It is the most amazing night ever everyones dressed up theres food, dancing, music and everyones just so happy and its wonderful so yeah thats prom in a nutshell!

15 year old hayley... at 15 I had managed to survive school, I had (still have) the best friends a girl could ask for and I was just so content with life it was great! So I passed most of my exams and the ones I didn't pass, It wasn't too far off. I cried my eyes out on the last day of school, aaaaaallll daaay not even joking! even though I knew I'd still have all of my friends, I just realised when I was watching the slideshow of photos, how much everyone in my year had grown up and how much I'd actually miss seeing everyone all the time!

I think this post is long enough, and if you read this far you are truly amazing and I do appreciate every single one of you, honestly even though there aren't that many people reading these right now, its still  (for example) 20 different people reading something I've posted online, 20 people, majority of whom I dont know, it might sound strange from a readers point of view but as a writer its wonderful so thank you alot, you truly are wonderful!
