A - Z of me - 26 questions about me

Oh hey there.. is it that time of the week again? Well you'd best grab a drink and maybe a snack because this is the A - Z of me and we could be here a while!
A: If you were an ANIMAL, what would you be?
I would probably be a parrot (in the wild) because they can talk, maybe not wild ones though cause they wont encounter enough humans to learn words BUT they can fly around all the time and see beautiful sights and they apparently have the longest lifespan
B: BOOKS: What’s on your reading list?
at the moment I'm reading need by carrie jones which is to get me into the Halloween spirit because it's quite supernatural and is fitting to the time of year, I'm also in the process of reading mokee joe by peter j murray which again has a spooky theme to it but it's not that bad cause it's made for a young audience I've actually had it since I was about 7 or 8, I'll add the book cover and let you decide for yourself but I would be terrified if the monster from it came near me!
C: COMPULSIVE about anything?
A few things actually, I keep my highlighters in 'rainbow' order, my books are in genre order, my dvds are in genre and company order for example if there are two chick flicks made by universal - they will be together, also I can't stop clicking/cracking my knuckles
D: DREAMS – Do you…dream in colour? Remember your dreams? Keep a dream journal?
I do tend to dream in colour, well the ones I remember are in colour, I actually have quite realistic dreams, like I'll have dreams including people I know and they'll say things the person would say so some are actually quite memorable but I can never remember enough to write a dream journal, I wish I could though!
E: EATING – what’s your usual snack?
So I really don't eat very healthily, I wish I could but I just cant bring myself to so I mainly reach for a packet of crisps but I don't snack a lot through the day, I'll have a packet of crisps and maybe a chocolate bar at the most.
F: A few of your FAVOURITE Things
Nutty chocolate, tomato soup, my dog, tv, books, my family, my amazing friends, clicking my knuckles, rugby players of the welsh kind, copious amounts of alcohol
G: GIGGLES! What (or who) makes you laugh? Do you have a good sense of humor?
Puns make me laugh a lot, most comedy shows, most comedy films, myself, my best friend, lee evans(comedian), nick grimshaw(radio personality), russell howard(comedian) I mean, theres a lot more.. Im a cheap laugh, I find a lot of things funny
H: Major HOT Button:
Ignorance, people that don't accept change when it's clearly for the better, dying on flappy bird (yes I still play it), when people are only open to one way of thinking like they have one opinion and anything else that doesn't go with that opinion is wrong, when people want help and when you try to help they complain that everything your doing to help is wrong
I: I am…
Short. Funny(well I think so). friendly. forgiving. uninteresting. out of things I am
K: Also KNOWN As… Aliases? Screen names? A non de plume perhaps?
I wouldn't say I was known as anything, I use my own name for screen names, I don't have a pseudonym or anything like that.. Just Hayley, or hayl
L: I LOVE…
My Family and friends, good food, alcohol, reading, made in chelsea, my dog,
M: How do you feel about MEETING people? Do it all the time? Rarely? Parties or 1-on-1?
Im shy sometimes but I do love meeting new people, I like learning about people and stuff like that.
N: What’s the story of your NAME? Were you named after anyone? Do you go by a nickname? Any aliases?
My mum didn't know what she wanted to call me at all and then it came to me being born and she still didn't know so my brother decided I should be named after his friend who was obviously called Hayley, so yeah.. my middle name Louisa is from my grandma frances who died before I was born so I never got to meet her but I've heard great things
O: OBSERVANT – What’s around you right now? What do you see?
My laptop is right in front of me, my dog is laid on the floor next to my door, the tv is on and glue is about to start, I can see 3 bottles of water on my dressing table.. there are a lot of things in my room tbh
P: Who are the special PEOPLE in your life?
Well my parents I guess are the most important, my nannie is really important too I love her to pieces even if I haven't seen her in a while, I also love my brother cause he's great, obviously my friends are really important to me too because idk, when aren't friends important?
Q: Any little QUIRKS about yourself?
I am a compulsive knuckle clicker, I call 'coke' cola, I try on outfits and makeup constantly when I'm planning to go out or for a party, I talk too much and Im also a huge panicker like I unnecessarily worry if someone doesn't reply to a message on facebook or anything else, I have a specific way of eating and I don't know if its just me (let me know if you do the same) but when I'm eating a meal lets say a sunday dinner, I would eat the veg then the mash, then the chicken - like I do that with any meal!
R: What do you like to do for RECREATION?
I read, spend time with my friends, watch films, binge watch tv shows, blog, go to the gym
S: Do You SING in the Shower? In the car? For your friends?
I sing all the time, whether I'm any good is debatable but I definitely sing a lot, I aaaalways sing in the shower and bath because I don't like the silence.
T: What’s at the top of your TO DO list?
I'm not quite sure, I have no massive aspirations at the moment - I guess the usual things like travelling - do well idk
U: Any UNUSUAL experiences?
The only few that come to mind are from nights out in the town - the first one was when me and my friend jasmine were in a club just dancing and having a good time and there were two boys, not remotely attractive (not that I cared I was just uninterested in them) and they were dancing near us and they kept looking at us so I smiled just being nice and polite as you do and the tallest boy says "you's can give us the V whenever you's want" middlesborough town really is wonderful. The second one was on another night out we were in the second bar we usually go to on a night and we were quite drunk and I was dancing stood at my chair and I knocked my full jug of cocktail over and soaked myself, I went to the toilet to dry off and when I got back there was ice everywhere so I threw it at one friend who threw it back so I then threw it at another and carried on and when there was no where else to throw it I threw it off the balcony, just to see if it would hit anyone, me and hollie (you know who she is) carried on throwing ice and then hollie threw a ring and I don't know why, two minutes later, a bouncer was stood next to me telling me he saw what I was doing and I should stop because it was dangerous and I'll have to leave if I do it again.
V: VEGAS, Vienna, Venice, Vladivostok… How far have you travelled? What’s your favourite city?
I haven't travelled that much to be honest I've only stayed in the UK, I think the furthest I've been is Stone which is 169 miles away from where I live. My favourite place to go is probably Scarborough where I was born, it's just full of history, for the country and myself.
W: WINTER, Spring, Summer, Fall… What’s your favourite season? What makes it special?
Erm, I like summer the most because it's brighter and everyone's happier and people have bbq's and parties and its my birthday in the summer and its just great. I like winter too though because I like christmas and watching christmas films and snow and seeing people in the festive spirit
X: EXes…
I don't have many but they've never really bothered me, I'm still 'friends' with one
Y: Any secret/deep YEARNINGS?
I would really like to get a job that pays well and I can be comfortable best thing would be to be able to work from home, I don't know what doing though - not a secret though. There are some secret ones but I mean, they're a secret for a reason..
Z: ZERO to ZENITH – Where are you in your life? Still growing? On an upward (or downward) curve? Just skating along?
I mean, I guess I'm growing still, because im only young but I would also like to think im on an upward curve cause Im pretty happy with how my life is and how everything is going.

So this has been the A-Z of me, if your getting to this point in the post and you have an opinion on what I said or what I should write about or even just to say hi or to let me know you're a recurring reader, please comment on the post, just to show people are taking in what I say and are enjoying my posts - I dont even care if you don't like them, tell me that IT ALL HELPS! As always thanks for reading my posts and giving me silent motivation to carry on because if it wasn't for you having a gander, I wouldn't be writing these posts!

15 things I love about life!

There are many things that I love about the world we live in so I decided to make a post about them because it's nice to share things and maybe you love them too.. you never know!

This isn't in any order (just to let you know) I'm literally writing them as I think of them!!

  1. Accents! I absolutely love the many different accents there are in Great Britain and the rest of the world (but mainly Great Britain) in certain accents I have favourite words too like the way scottish people say 'murder' it just makes me extremely happy!
  2. poptarts, they really do taste great unless you burn them of course
  3. unexpected things, sometimes I do get little suprises and cute little things like once when I was coughing and sniffling, my mum brought me a hotwater bottle up without me even saying I was poorly - it was just because she could tell I was ill, it really warmed the cockles of my heart (and the rest of my body)
  4. Manners - Okay sometimes I do forget my own but it does still annoy me when someone will bump into me and not apologize or when I hold a door and they don't say thanks, it really doesn't cost anything so when people do say thanks and do say sorry it makes me v happy!
  5. when people actually care, if I tell someone something even if it's just a stupid story about my day, I always pay attention to how they're reacting and how they respond because it just shows they're really interested.
  6. my demographic - now as a reader you probably dont care about this but what I really love is how varied the places my readers come from are, I still don't have that much of like a following and the majority are from the uk but there are so many other countries and it just amazes me, it really does
  7. puns, I am obsessed with puns, bad ones good ones, their great! I love it when people do them with such wit and timing that its even funnier than the
  8. photos - They say pictures say a thousand words but I think they say so much more, you look at a photo and you can remember so many things, everything about the day it was taken, the people your with, the songs you were listening to and so much other stuff even down to why you wore what you wore that day - it's truly crazy
  9. Variation - It amazes me how much things can be totally different like someones day, take mine and my friends.. we could both have a lazy day in front of the TV but it doesn't mean we did the same things because there is that much variation in the world!
  10. alcohol - don't get me wrong.. I can go aaaages without drinking any alcohol but when I do its usually a good time, not that I have to drink to have a good time, whenever I'm with my friends it usually is a good time. Not just that but I love thinking about all the hilarious and embarrassing things we did the night before and I do have a lot of good memories from parties
  11. The smell of baking bread - In the supermarket there is a bakery and they always make fresh bread and it is the nicest smell ever!
  12. Mascara - I really love a good mascara at one point I had like 20 something different mascaras, I don't even know why my eyelashes are quite good without it but it probably is my favourite item of makeup!
  13. A good book - I love reading, not as much as I used to but I do still love reading, I like the imagery you can get from a book! At the moment I'm reading 'A french affair' by Katie Fforde and it is really good so far!
  14. When you instantly connect with someone - In college, there were multiple times where I was faced with a group of people where I knew no one it was mainly in my second year though because in my first year I pretty much knew people in all of my classes (luckily) but in the classes I knew no one, I somehow managed to find people and stick to them like one day in science I was left without a partner and decided to work with another girl who seemed really friendly, she ended up being my partner for the rest of the year and what a good year it was! it turned out we were more alike than we'd though with our shared love of made in chelsea and pretty little liars and since leaving college we keep in touch regularly and attempt to make plans that don't go ahead!
  15. Having a wonderful best friend - as I've said in other posts, I could talk about my friendship with holl for aaages but I wont because yeah, but I just love how comfortable we are with eachother (some could say too comfortable) but it's great and I couldn't be happier, and we can trust eachother with our lives and we have 0 secrets which is important to me so yeah!
So now you know everything (most of the things) I love about life! I hope you use your new knowledge wisely!

The teenage school years - Hang in there, you'll be just fine!

So this week I've decided to do another little advicey type blog (a 'how to' if you will) on surviving your teenage years! When you look over your teens, you'll realise that you really were being way too dramatic and it just wasn't as bad as you think!

Year 9 (13-14) - So in year 8 you're going through some huge changes in yourself, you're growing up and your learning tonnes more about yourself. Depending on your school too you might be making some huge decisions and that's not the worst of it, you're "falling in love". Now the reason that's in quotation marks is that I know that at that age, your quite unlikely to stay in a relationship with the people you're seeing, don't get me wrong I know people that are 18 and have been in a six year relationship and if you end up like that you're lucky, extremely lucky, but honestly its not the end of the world if you break up, you'll find someone else and you'll be just fine! If you haven't got a boyfriend/girlfriend yet don't worry it's not a race at all, just keep positive! Now I know it can be quite upsetting if you really really like someone and they don't like you back but again, it isn't the end of the world, don't go changing yourself for that person to like you because it isn't likely that they will, just be yourself and it will all come naturally! If being 13 and hormonal isn't bad enough some schools (mine included) decide to throw you in at the deep end and start you off on your GCSE's exams that pretty much start off your career. The best advice I can give is to not take it for granted, GCSE's aren't easy and you will not pass unless you actually give it a go so revise really hard, be on time to lessons and don't take too much time off, they really are important to your future.

13 Year old hayley... when I was 13 I was doing BTEC Dance and GCSE History, and I liked them so much that I then carried on to do the second year of dance and I continued History onto AS Level. I don't think I did too bad in them either to say I was only 13 and only did the one year of class work before my exams. I also found who I probably thought at the time was the love of my life, truth is I didn't really see him too often and we might as well have not been "in a relationship" it was definitely one of those throwaway teenage relationships I was talking about! I was basically just finding myself I guess, I'm still not too sure I found myself fully to be honest!

year 10 (14 -15) - by year 10 you've pushed through the nasty little hormonal phase (trust me it is a phase) and you've probably found the people who you want in your life forever, I know I did! If your school isn't like mine you will be starting your GCSE's and like I said they aren't easy. Now you've made it through the hormonal stage you're probably in a stage where everyone is a little bit bitchy. You're friendship group probably has more arguments than an episode of the Jeremy kyle show which if you don't know, is a lot! As well as this, the parties people have are getting more grown up, in england its not that strange (in my part anyway) to have started drinking alcohol (not that I advise it in any way) and with alcohol comes many hilarious stories (again not that I advise it) and if you want to have a little drink theres honestly nothing wrong with that, as long as there is someone in charge of making sure everyone else is ok and that no one gets hurt. I can't stress enough that not only is drinking underage illegal, it's not compulsory, there is nothing to say you HAVE to drink at a young age, and if you do please, please drink safely too many teenagers go to hospital for alcohol related issues.

14 year old hayley... At 14 I was getting there, finding what I wanted to do in life and who I wanted to be around me when I did do it. The friends I've mentioned in previous posts are the ones I got close to then, that's 4 years ago and we're still all here, I love the lot of them! Most of my friends I knew before secondary school but weren't too close to and there are two or three that I only really got close to in my teens and I love them I do! There has been a lot of fallings out but we're all here for eachother and I couldn't imagine life without them really! As well as this I was still doing my GCSE's and I picked Art and the second year of dance, as I already mentioned. Art didn't get me anywhere, it was mainly to fill up my time because I didn't want to do anything else so yeah. Now Im not going to lie, I was one of those teenagers that did get drunk but I mostly knew my limits and we were always supervised at parties and such and never had an alcohol related illness/problem, I really can't stress enough that 14 is not an age you should be starting to drink alcohol, it's something you do in your own time

year 11 (15-16) - now this is the last year and your making a lot of decisions, you choose a college, subjects at college and basically what you want to do in the future (in order to pick the right courses). The best advice I can give you is to choose things that will help and that you'll enjoy. You can't pick a college because your friends are going because you'll probably have different timetables anyway, as well as this, you can't pick a course because your friends do it because if you don't enjoy it, your wasting two or more years of your life and you'll not get anywhere in life and that my pals is the harsh reality! As well as all this your getting that all important coursework in and revising for the very last exams and trust me there is no better feeling than putting your pen down after that last exam! The worst bit about this last year is leaving, especially if you've been in the same school for your full school life, just knowing you'll not see most the people in your year properly ever again! As everyone knows, there is an upside to leaving school.. PROM!! It is the most amazing night ever everyones dressed up theres food, dancing, music and everyones just so happy and its wonderful so yeah thats prom in a nutshell!

15 year old hayley... at 15 I had managed to survive school, I had (still have) the best friends a girl could ask for and I was just so content with life it was great! So I passed most of my exams and the ones I didn't pass, It wasn't too far off. I cried my eyes out on the last day of school, aaaaaallll daaay not even joking! even though I knew I'd still have all of my friends, I just realised when I was watching the slideshow of photos, how much everyone in my year had grown up and how much I'd actually miss seeing everyone all the time!

I think this post is long enough, and if you read this far you are truly amazing and I do appreciate every single one of you, honestly even though there aren't that many people reading these right now, its still  (for example) 20 different people reading something I've posted online, 20 people, majority of whom I dont know, it might sound strange from a readers point of view but as a writer its wonderful so thank you alot, you truly are wonderful!
