I think if your familiar with youtubers you'll know most of these but if there are any that you don't know then please watch the video I linked because I would like them all to be appreciated as much as I appreciate them! I've also just realised the past few posts have been about favourites so next week will definitely be different and maybe a bit love themed?

January Favourites

So this is a new thing huh? I thought that as it's a new year I should introduce something new to my blog and what better than a monthly favourites! I intend to do these on the last Monday of each month so yeah here we are!

As it's January, a lot/most of the things I've loved were Christmas presents so yeah - just thought I'd let you know.

The first thing I've been loving this month is my Gavin and Stacey box set - I mentioned my love for Gavin and Stacey in my last post and for Christmas just gone Hollie (my best friend) got me the box set and I can tell you, it's barely left my DVD player! It's literally my favourite thing and I watch it so much I could almost recite it word for word (not an exaggeration at all).

The next thing is a bag I bought from Primark. First off I'd like to say I bought it in December but I mean I have loved it throughout January so it still counts as a January favourite right? Any way I had been wanting a bag like this for a while and when I saw this one for £10 I couldn't resist, it's like a Mary Poppins bag, it fits everything in and goes with anything - except joggers of course!

This has probably been my most favourite thing ever this month - my portable charger! This was a Christmas present which was to go with my tablet but I've used it for my phone. It's so handy, you just charge it up and it gives you about 3 full charges from one charge. I keep it in my bag wherever I go and that way my phone is never dead. I seriously recommend you investing in one if you can't live without your phone or ipod or anything, its just amazing!

As it's been extremely cold, I have been loving moisturiser. Not just any moisturiser - the soap and glory 'hand food' moisturiser. I don't have much to say about the smell but when a product works as good as this.. who cares what it smells like? Well I actually do but it works wonders so it's cool!

On a similar note my lips have been getting extremely chapped whether it's from the gym (is that weird) or just the cold idk they've been bad. I got the carmex lip balm like the liquidy one in a squeezy tube (10/10 for description) and it's been so good like moisturising and helpful. I have the strawberry one and the cherry one and they taste so nice so yeah!

Another thing that I have been loving is Pretty Little Liars now you might be thinking but thats been on ages and you would be right in thinking that BUT it came back for the second half of the fifth season this month and I wont give anything away because spoilers but it has been AMAZING!

The last thing I know I loved is my new Oxford 'project book' I wanted to be more productive and organized with my blog so I bought this and usually I don't geek out about a notebook but I swear the paper is the best quality paper ever and it's just so nice to write on, if your revising for your exams and you don't have one of these, I disapprove severely!

So I think that's it this month for things I've loved, I hope you liked it.. thank you for reading - let me know in the comments if there's anything you've been loving this month :)

My Favourite TV Shows!

So while deciding what to do for this weeks post I was flicking through the TV guide and couldn't find anything I wanted to watch, which got me thinking.. what even are my favourite shows? As I thought about it, I decided I'd do a post on it and share my favourite shows! I think most of them are shown worldwide too so I assume you'll have heard of most of them.
(These aren't in any order, just as they came up)
  • Pretty little liars - Okay so this just had to come first! What isn't to love about a group of teenage girls being put through their paces by an anonymous texter with murders and secrets galore? I was both late and early to the PLL Party (bearing in mind it's not shown in britain) because I read the books when I'd first heard of the show in like 2011 and became obsessed, then I started watching the shows and got to the third season and stopped and then I didn't pick it back up until just before the 5th season ended for its break. I love how different it is to the books as well because having read them I thought I'd know who A was and everything else that happened but I don't have a clue like I still think it could be anyone! If you love this show let me know and we can have discussions in the comments on our theories, I only know one person who watches it and that's Hollie, and she's not caught up yet and I can't spoil it for her:')!
  • Hollyoaks - This is a British soap and I absolutely love it! It's about a village in England called (would you believe it) Hollyoaks. It's such a diverse show and there are multiple story lines going on and because the cast is so big there is never a dull moment. I don't think I could live in Hollyoaks though cause I'd be to terrified of Trevor!
  • Gavin and Stacey - This again is a British show but I believe there's an american version called 'us and them'. This is honestly one of the funniest shows ever, I'm so sad that there's only three seasons but it really does get you laughing. It's about a couple that are online dating and they meet up and have this huge whirlwind romance. There's more to it than that but if you haven't guessed I'm awful at descriptions.
  • Made in Chelsea - Again sorry this is a British show. It's sort of a reality show but there is like 'set-up' scenes. It's about people from Chelsea which is an area of London. There's always some sort of drama going on which makes it hilarious to watch, not many people I know actually like this show though.
  • American Horror Story - So I'm still not sure whether I like the show or if I'm just drawn to it cause I want to see what happens but either way I can't take my eyes off it. I'm only up to coven at the moment but I think its just a great show, I love the how the majority of the cast stays the same and are in each series. Up to now though 'Murder House' is my favourite series, I love evan peters' character 'Tate' and just the whole mystery of the house and how every episode it starts with something about the previous owners and their murder.. it's crazy!
  • Total Divas - Oh my god, Hollie recently got me into this one. She has loved wrestling since she was tiny and she'd have it on every now and then and I used to just go to sleep but I started getting into it and then one night I was staying round hers and it was the night of wrestlemania and I was glued to the screen! Hollie was so happy I'd got into it and showed me total divas which is a reality show about the divas (female wrestlers) it's just so good I can't even describe it!!

I don't know if that was more or less than I expected but I think there's enough there.. If you like any of the shows tell me and we'll have discussions because yeah, why not.. (Especially with PLL though, I want to hear more theories).

Before I end the post by the way, I hit 100 followers on bloglovin which I know is a small amount compared to other blogs and stuff but 100 people is 100 people, it's just a lot of people OKAY? But anyway thank you for helping me even get this far and for putting up with my ramblings whether you followed me yesterday or in September when I first started!

Don't worry.. Be Happy

I worry - A LOT and I wish I didn't and it probably wont even change but maybe having a written down example as to why I shouldn't worry will give me a sort of tangible reminder that it (the worrying thing) can be fine!

So last Wednesday I had a job interview and it was extremely important to me because it's a job I really want. After applying I had to wait over 3 weeks for a reply and as it was my second time applying for the role (different recruiting schemes) I wasn't optimistic at all but I was overjoyed when I saw I had an interview.
I decided (even though this was in November) that I wanted to be interviewed in January as it'd give me time to acclimatise and be prepared. It did work, I felt fully confident I knew what to do in the interview. On Wednesday I was going shopping with Hollie (I've mentioned her before) and we made it back a little late. I didn't panic too much because it wasn't too far away, I then looked at my confirmation email to check what I needed to take and found that I was supposed to attend 30 minutes before the interview.. queue a major panic!
I met Holl at the bus stop and cried my eyes out, I was so scared that I wouldn't be interviewed because of how late I was.. by the time I got there I was about an hour late including the turning up half an hour early. To calm me down Holl decided we'd be best off walking to another bus stop that was further away and all the while she was saying so much encouraging things ('you'll be fine, loads of people turn up late', 'they're not gonna say you can't be interviewed.. they'll probably be happier you came at all rather than leaving it') but in my head it just wasn't working, I wasn't able to calm down until I got there!
When I eventually made it there wasn't a single thing to worry about, the security guard confirmed everything holl was saying, apparently everyone had turned up late! The interview turned out to be the best interview I could've had, one of the interviewers was a slightly older version of me, the other interviewer was dumbstruck because of it!

The whole point of that story is that if I hadn't gone, if I didn't have my bestfriend calming me down I would have worried myself to a point of going home and regretting it for the rest of my life! Im certainly a 'when the going gets tough - the tough get going' kind of girl and I think I may always be and I don't know why.. I just really need to change it because one day I wont have people that will calm me down and I will just end up quitting and leaving it.

The moral of this post is: You'll never know unless you try.. don't just leave something without even giving it a go because you could end up seriously regretting it!

The other moral is: when your bestfriend tells you it'll be fine.. listen cause shes probably right!P.S. if your reading this holl, thank you so much, I honestly don't think I'd have gone if it hadn't been for you re-assuring me and convincing me it'd be fine, I cannot thank you enough, Love you!

So yeah, this was just to show that if you just try you never know what  could happen, I am for sure glad I tried and im sure you all will be!

Good bye 2014.. Hello 2015!

Now I can't exactly say this year has been a bad one because it has been full of amazing experiences and I have no regrets but at the same time I am ready to welcome 2015 with open arms, WIDE open arms. I've decided to do a recap of 2014 because not only is it nice to think over all the times I had this year, but I can share it with you guys because I started my blog over halfway through the year so yeah! Having thought about it I don't want to share the lows but just know there were some!

2014

  • University offers - So I got offers for the universities I really wanted to go to, and even though I didn't go to university I'm still happy I got those offers. To me it meant that they thought I was potentially good enough to go to the universities. Whether that's something that would give others comfort I don't know but it makes me happy! (Similarly I found out I had enough UCAS points to go to both my choices of uni)
  • Exam Results - So on the 14th of august like most 18 year olds in the UK I was waiting with bated breath to find out my exam results.. I was really happy with them because I had passed all of my exams, while I never got even close to an A (maybe not even a B) I was still happy because as hard as I worked I didn't think I'd have passed anything so to have passed I was just really happy!
  • 18 - So this year is the year that all of my friends turned 18 (minus 1 who was already 18) and it meant there were lots of 18th birthday parties and then after I had turned 18 - great nights out!
  • My Blog - So obviously this is a good part of my year.. I started my blog and have now been writing it for 4 months (and a bit) so Im still relatively new but I'm amazed at how far its come already.. I'm not too far off of 100 followers which to me in 4 months is great!

So this has been the main highlights of my 2014 and I mean the big things (my memory isn't the best so there are tonnes more that I can't think of) but I hope you all had a great 2014 and that 2015 is just as good if not better!

As a little footnote I'd like to add that in 2015 I would like my readers (while few.. I know you exist!) to interact more.. I would love for more readers to be leaving comments and things purely to put a name to a number! To try and kick start this I would like you to leave in the comments - what you enjoyed about 2014.. or your new years resolutions. Also don't be afraid of self promotion, if you have a blog leave me the link.. I'm always looking for more blogs to read!
